We are a small kennel in Estonia. Our main line is long-haired standard dachshunds, with a few short-haired miniature litters. We care about sound backs, steady temperaments, and the bold dachshund character. Litters are rare, so we know every puppy from day one.
The breed
A dachshund is small, but it is not a toy.
The breed was made for work underground: a long strong body, short powerful legs, courage, and a mind of its own. That is the charm of a dachshund, and also the responsibility. We choose dogs that stay within the standard, move well, and live calmly with people.

Twelve years. Thirty-five dogs.
We have had five long-haired standard litters and three short-haired miniature litters. Every dog has EKL/FCI papers and a public pedigree. To us they are not lines in a table; they are dogs we raised and saw every day.

Work
A dachshund needs movement, rules, and a job.
That does not mean hunting every day. It means long walks, tracking, obedience, and clear boundaries. When a dachshund has something to do, it is calmer at home. When it does not, it invents a job.
Titles
Titles matter when there is a dog behind them.
The list includes titles from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, and the international FCI titles C.I.B and C.I.E. The full table is on its own page.

Puppies
One litter a year. Sometimes two.
We plan matings early and speak plainly about what we expect: the lines, the likely temperament, and possible colours. If you are looking for a puppy, write to us. We will answer your questions and see whether we are a good fit for each other.
About puppiesA few rules.

We do not take money for puppies that have not been born.

We do not chase rare or non-standard colours.

We do not let puppies leave before 2.5 months.

We do not disappear after a puppy moves to its new home.

Every dog on record. Every pedigree open.
Duende Alanta has been registered with the Estonian Kennel Union since 2014. Our dogs, litters, and pedigrees are available in the public registry, so anyone can check the lineage directly.
